*For self-employed individuals and business owners, each bank has different types of documents that meet these criteria. We recommend that you contact your bank and ask them for the appropriate document. The document must contain the following:
- Name of the company/organization
- The authorized signatories of the bank account
Since you are self-employed, the bank needs proof of ownership of your business.
This can be any of the following documents, which must have been issued in the last 6 months:
- A letter on bank letterhead stating that you are the owner of your business account + your last bank statement
- Business registration documents
- Last tax return
- A letter from a business partner or client stating that you are the owner of your company. It must be signed and dated.
In order to open a joint account, both joint account holders must sign the same document.
If you are not in the same location as the joint account holder, you will have to find a way to sign both documents.
